This was a fun week to write.
I went to St. Pete last weekend to cover the Pirates against the Rays. I hadn’t covered the MLB team this extensively since early 2019. At that point, I was in the early process of planning a site like what this one has become — with a lot of life speedbumps to follow.
I’ll be honest, most of my focus this year has been on the minor league side, and getting this site’s routine established. I had zero article ideas planned when I decided to cover the series.
I came up with a few questions related to mindset, following up on some of what the Pirates are doing on the minor league side.
