The Pittsburgh Pirates will be without the services of shortstop Oneil Cruz. According to Derek Shelton during the media session after Sunday’s game, Cruz suffered a fractured left ankle as a result of an awkward slide at home plate, which resulted in a collision.
Pirates manager Derek Shelton said Oneil Cruz has a fractured left ankle, a result of the home plate collision that forced the 6-foot-7 shortstop to leave the game in the sixth inning.
