Before the start of the fourth inning in Sunday's contest against the Brewers the Pirates found themselves without two of their players who started the game. Infielders Colin Moran and Kevin Newman were both pulled from the lineup due to injury.
Moran's injury took place on the first play of the game. Brewers' center fielder Avisail Garcia hit a ground ball to third base. Erik Gonzalez fielded the ball clean made a throw a bit off the bag, forcing Moran into the base path, causing a collision.
Originally, Garcia looked to have taken the worse of it, as he walked slowly off the field with a member of the Brewers training staff by his side.
