The promotion of No. 1 draft pick Henry Davis highlighted the week’s minor league maneuvers, as the power-hitting catcher was moved from the Florida Complex League to Greensboro of the High-A East division.
Davis has appeared in just two games with the Grasshoppers, going 1 for 3 in his High-A debut – he just missed an inside-the-park home run and had to settle for a triple – and then going 0 for 2 Sunday. So far, Davis has struck out twice and walked twice in seven total plate appearances after going 3 for 7 with a home run and four RBIs in two FCL games.
