Looking for a flight to Bradenton? Pittsburgh's about to get one

For some Pirates fans, spring training can’t come fast enough. And for those who want to visit the team in Bradenton, Fla., a small Portland, Maine-based airline is poised to get them there quicker.

Elite Airways plans to start twice-weekly non-stop service from Pittsburgh to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport Feb. 23, just in time for the start of the Pirates’ Grapefruit League schedule.

The flight will operate on Mondays and Fridays. It will leave Pittsburgh International Airport at 1 p.m. and arrive in Sarasota-Bradenton at 3:45 p.m. The return flight leaves Florida at 9:30 a.m. and lands in Pittsburgh at 12:15 p.
