A few notes for Tuesday:
-P- Jeff Locke will make his next start on Saturday. As disappointing as he's been lately, that's not too surprising. I would probably swap him and Vance Worley, but I think it's a close decision, and I can understand wanting to give Locke another opportunity or two before doing that.
-P- Catcher Kevin Krause, the Pirates' ninth-round pick last season, will have Tommy John surgery, Pirates Prospects reports (subscription-only). Since he's a position player, he should have a somewhat faster recovery time than is typical for Tommy John patients, putting him back on track for Spring Training next year.
