"It's go time": Trevor Williams strikes out five in final Grapefruit League start

BRADENTON, Fla. — The Pirates lost to the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-3, on Monday afternoon at LECOM Park. Here’s what you need to know from the day's action:

On the mound

Trevor Williams made his final Grapefruit League start. He threw 2 1/3 innings, allowed four runs (two earned), struck out five and walked one. Williams is scheduled to start the second game of the season Saturday in Detroit.

“It’s go time,” Williams said. “We’re all ready to get out of here. We’re ready to get into Detroit and get the season started.”

Right-hander Bo Schultz, who has been rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, made his Grapefruit League debut.
