Interference or not, the Pirates say they're moving past Anthony Rizzo's slide

Interpreter Mike Gonzalez had yet to translate Elias Diaz’s answer regarding Major League Baseball’s reported ruling that two sets of umpires got the call wrong on Anthony Rizzo’s eighth-inning slide during Monday’s game, but one word — tarde (Spanish for late) — gave it away.

“To be honest with you guys, it’s too late now,” Diaz said. “The game occurred and what happened behind the plate occurred. It’s just time to move on.”

Crew Chief reviews call that Anthony Rizzo does not violate the slide rule at home plate in the 8th; call stands, no violation.
