The IIHF announced on Feb. 17 that the previously-canceled World Junior Championship would be rescheduled for this coming August. The tournament is still set to be held in Alberta.
It's looking likely that the Russian team won't be part of it, though.
The IIHF on Monday announced that all Russian and Belarusian national teams are suspended from participation in every age category and in all IIHF competitions or events until further notice, as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Additionally, the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship that was scheduled to take place from Dec. 26, 2022 to Jan.
