Francisco Cervelli leaves Pirates game due to right forearm discomfort

Francisco Cervelli exited Tuesday’s Pirates game against the Chicago White Sox due to right forearm discomfort.

Cervelli was hit by a 94-mph fastball from Reynaldo Lopez in the third inning. He writhed in pain but remained on the base paths before leaving the game at the end of the inning, with the score 6-0 Pirates. Elias Diaz replaced Cervelli behind home plate.

Starling Marte also left Tuesday’s game due to left side discomfort.
