Cannonballs coming: Mitch Keller gets bombed in AAA debut

The GCL Pirates were off.

— MItch Keller’s AAA debut could have gone better. He got hammered for eight runs on ten hits and two walks in two and two-thirds innings. He struck out three. Things were bad from the start, as the first five hitters went: double, single, double, bunt ground out, home run. That was four runs and Keller gave up another three in the second before departing in the third. Maybe the consternation over Keller not being in the majors yet was a little premature. Indianapolis (43-36) battled back and eventually tied the game on a two-out, two-run home run by Jackson Williams in the top of the ninth.
