— Jonathan Brubaker had a good start as Indianapolis (22-19) edged Louisville, 3-2. Brubaker allowed two runs — both on a home run by his mound opponent, Brandon Finnegan — on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five. Kevin Newman (.325) and Chris Bostick (.338) each went 2-4, with Bostick getting a double. Johnny Hellweg got the save despite throwing only seven of 18 pitches for strikes. He walked one and hit one, but got a double play to end it.
