A couple of news items. According to Pirates Prospects (sub. req’d), Cody Bolton has gone on the disabled list with a “minor” forearm strain. He’ll be replaced in the West Virginia rotation by Oddy Nunez, who’s being demoted from Bradenton, where he’s been struggling for a while.
West Virginia, Bristol and the GCL Pirates were rained out. The Power were supposed to play two, but got washed out for the third straight day.
— Indianapolis (52-47) got blanked, 2-0, by Rochester. Brandon Waddell pitched well, giving up just one run in six innings.
