Buddy Boshers and Michael Feliz Join Pirates; Sadler and Holmes Optioned to Indianapolis

Prior to Saturday's game in San Francisco, the Pittsburgh Pirates optioned pitchers Casey Sadler and Clay Holmes to Indianapolis. To take their place on the 25-man roster, the Pirates recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Feliz and lefty reliever Buddy Boshers, who was claimed from the Houston Astros earlier this week.

In Triple-A Fresno this season, the 30-year-old Boshers had a 3.18 ERA in 51 innings over 41 appearances, with 55 strikeouts, a 1.24 WHP and a 1.16 GO/AO ratio. He pitched one scoreless inning for Indianapolis, allowing just a walk. In three Major League seasons combined, he has a 4.
