The Pittsburgh Pirates put the finishing touches on their 25-man Opening Day roster with a series of roster moves on Sunday that includes the club optioning utility man Jose Osuna to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Catchers Jacob Stallings and Jackson Williams, as well as outfielder Danny Ortiz were all reassigned to the Minor Leagues.
The Pirates finalized roster includes 12 pitchers: Antonio Bastardo, Gerrit Cole, Tyler Glasnow, Daniel Hudson, Chad Kuhl, Wade LeBlanc, Juan Nicasio, Ivan Nova, Felipe Rivero, Jameson Taillon, Tony Watson and Trevor Williams.
Pittsburgh has elected to keep two catchers, Francisco Cervelli and Chris Stewart, on the roster.
