Andrew McCutchen Wins Roberto Clemente Award

Andrew McCutchen has won the Roberto Clemente award, becoming the first Pirates' player to win the award since Willie Stargell in 1974. The award is given out annually to the player who best exemplifies baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement and contributes to his team.

Team owner Bob Nutting has this to say about McCutchen winning the award:

“I could not be more proud of Andrew for this well-deserved honor. He is more than a dynamic player on the field and a leader in our clubhouse; he is a person who carries himself with high character and honor every day.
