Indianapolis placed OF Eric Wood (226/311/428) on the 7-day Injured List with a left foot contusion. A 6th Round pick out of junior college in 2012 at age 19, this is Wood’s eighth year at the organization, reaching Triple-A.
Indianapolis also activated RHP Yefry Ramirez from the Temporarily Inactive List and RHP Brandon Maurer from the Injured List, where he’d been since Apr. 21 with right knee inflammation.
21 year old Mexican RF Fernando Villegas, who had four rehab appearances in the GCL, going 0-for-9, was activated from the IL and transferred from Greensboro down to Bristol.
