RHP Cody Ponce, acquired in the Jordan Lyles trade, was assigned to Altoona.
Infielder Alfredo Reyes (187/286/265) was then demoted from Altoona to Greensboro. After five years in the Mets system from 2011 to 2015, Reyes was selected by the Pirates in the minor league portion of the Rule V Draft. Now in his ninth year, he reached Triple-A for eight games before being returned to Altoona and now dropped back to Low-A Greensboro. Reyes has a .604 career OPS but in 2018 had an .810 mark with a .310 BA in 61 games at Bradenton.
