It wouldn’t be quite as fitting if Ryan Reaves were making his return to the lineup against any other opponent.
Reaves, a healthy scratch for the last three contests, figures to be back on the ice when the Penguins take on the division rival Capitals on Friday night at PPG Paints Arena. The move is partly because Conor Sheary will be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, party because, well, this is the type of game for which Reaves was acquired.
“A lot of love on the ice,” Reaves joked after the Penguins’ morning skate Friday.
