WBS cuts roster to 28, sends 10 to Wheeling

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins made their first cuts from training camp on Sunday.

Forwards Christopher Brown, Jan Drozg, Brandon Hawkins, Yushiroh Hirano, Renars Krastenbergs and Myles Powell, and defensemen Macoy Erkamps, Blake Siebenaler, Craig Skudalski and Aaron Titcomb have all been assigned to the Wheeling Nailers.

Of that group, only Drozg is on an NHL contract. Hirano, Krastenbergs, Siebenaler, Skudalski, and Titcomb played for the Nailers last season.

Wilkes-Barre concludes its preseason schedule on Sunday with a game in Lehigh Valley against the Phantoms.
