Tony Granato elected to U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame

Former Penguins assistant coach Tony Granato has been elected to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Granato spent five years as Penguins assistant coach after a 13-year career as an NHL player.

Congratulations to former Penguins assistant coach, Tony Granato, on his election to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, Class of 2020.

Granato’s arguably mist memorable moment with the Penguins came late in the 2011-12 season, when he nearly got in a fight with Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette.
