If you want to be positive the Pittsburgh Penguins have earned at least a point in four consecutive games, collecting six out of a possible eight points over the past week. They beat two potential playoff teams in Toronto and Tampa Bay, and at least gained points in Nashville and against Philadelphia.
If you collect six out of every eight points over the course of a full season, you are going to win an awful lot of games and collect a lot of points.
It could be worse.
But the reality is not quite as good as that recent record.
