It seemed like just another meeting when Miguel Perez, manager of Class AAA Indianapolis, called Travis Swaggerty into his office on Saturday. The Indians were preparing to play Omaha, and Perez started going over how well Swaggerty had been playing recently and what areas he can improve.
Then, Perez said, "You think you can do it in the big leagues?"
"Uhhh ... I think so," Swaggerty replied.
Then Perez said three words that every minor leaguer wants to hear: "Well, you're going."
Swaggerty is the next piece in what's become an influx of youth on the big-league roster.
