Despite not playing after the second intermission in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Lightning Monday night, Conor Sheary remains an integral part of the Penguins’ plans moving forward, coach Mike Sullivan said after the team’s practice Tuesday.
“I thought it was a bit of a struggle for Conor last game, for whatever reason,” Sullivan said. “Players go through that at times.
“We don’t think less of Conor because of that. He’s a big part of this team, we know it. He knows that we believe in him.”
Sheary has averaged 21 shifts per game so far in these playoffs, but had just 15 in Game 2.
