Steelers impressed by small but speedy North Carolina WR Downs

If the Steelers are interested in a small but fast playmaking wide receiver, North Carolina's Josh Downs could be on their radar in the second round of the NFL draft.

Downs is the son of former NFL running back Gary Downs, who played for the Giants, Broncos and Falcons from 1994-2000. His uncle is former NFL standout cornerback Dre Bly.

Steelers scouts were in Chapel Hill on Monday for Downs' pro day, and he had this to say about what he was told:

"Steelers and a few other teams came up to me and just told me that I had one of the cleanest workouts they've seen the past few years.
