Steelers add Joseph, Sims to practice squad

The Steelers added 15 players to their practice squad Wednesday afternoon, including a pair of former NFL starters at safety and wide receiver.

Safety Karl Joseph and wide receiver Steven Sims were among the players added.

Joseph, a former West Virginia star, was a first-round draft pick of the Raiders in 2016. He spent the 2020 season with the Browns after signing a one-year deal with Cleveland but was re-signed by the Raiders following the year. Joseph was among players released by Los Vegas Tuesday.

Sims, a formerly with Washington, appeared in 32 games the previous two seasons, making four starts.
