You may have heard, but the Pittsburgh Penguins have found a new head coach. On Wednesday, the team announced the hiring of Dan Muse to be the 23rd head coach in franchise history, replacing Mike Sullivan following a weeks long search by Kyle Dubas.
The hiring of Muse did come as a bit of a shock after most speculation had Mitch Love and DJ Smith as the leading candidates for the job. In the end though, it was Muse getting the nod over Love and Smith to take over as bench boss for a Penguins team preparing to enter a new era with youth likely to take center stage.
