Sixth round: Penguins pick 'old-school tough' center Devlin

MONTREAL -- The Penguins' fifth and final pick of the 2022 NHL draft here in Montreal was Luke Devlin, a center out of St. Andrews College, a high school in Canada.

Devlin is listed at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds and a left-handed shot. He led St. Andrews in scoring last season, scoring 19 goals and 28 assist in 44 games.

Penguins director of amateur scouting Nick Pryor called Devlin a "big center who moves extremely well for his size."

"He brings a lot of compete," Pryor added. "And he does a really good job on both sides of the puck playing a responsible game, and he plays a really competitive game as well.
