Paul Martin played in the game Saturday night at Consol Energy Center. Was it just me or did it seem as if he were on the wrong team? Let me ask that another way: Do you think the Penguins miss Martin?
Martin came back to town with the San Jose Sharks after spending five seasons with the Penguins. There have been better defensemen in franchise history, to be sure. Hall of Famers Paul Coffey and Larry Murphy immediately come to mind. So does Ulf Samuelsson, who was Jack Lambert on skates when he played here. But it’s hard to say there has been a better teammate — a classier guy — in the Penguins room than Martin.
