The unique event will give all fans a chance to salute moms – and especially hockey moms – while raising funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The first 3,200 ladies (18 and older) in attendance will receive a specially-produced Michael Kors canvas tote. The inscription inside each tote says “To my favorite hockey mom … you bring glamour to the game. MK”
Fifty “Hockey Moms” from local youth hockey organizations also have been selected to attend the game with their son/daughter hockey player.
“This is a great opportunity for all of us to salute moms and show them how much they mean to us,” said Dave Soltesz, president of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.
