Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel’s bizarre relationship was on full display Sunday night as the Penguins celebrated their Stanley Cup victory in Nashville.
After Carl Hagelin scored an empty-net goal to put the Penguins up 2-0 with very little time remaining, the Penguins’ bench erupted in celebration. Malkin was overjoyed, and showed his jubilation by punching Kessel in the face.

That passion spilled over into the locker room as the team celebrated, with some friendly roughhousing instigated by Malkin.
