Penguins' Young named to U.S. Olympic coaching staff

PHILADELPHIA -- The Penguins will have a coach in the Olympics after all.

USA Hockey on Thursday named its assistant coaches for the Beijing Games, completing head coach David Quinn's staff.

Penguins director of development Scott Young will serve as an assistant coach in the Olympics for the second time in his career, having previously served as assistant coach under Tony Granato in the 2018 Games in Pyeongyang.

Young, 54, is in his fifth season in his role with the Penguins. Before joining the Penguins in 2017, he worked as an assistant coach for Boston College and the head coach of St.
