WASHINGTON — Tom Wilson’s hit on Brian Dumoulin early in the second period didn’t elicit a penalty call on the ice, but several players in the Penguins' locker room wouldn't be surprised if Wilson receives a call from the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Monday morning.
"He made contact with [Dumoulin's] head,” Sidney Crosby said. “That was the first point of contact. Given his history and things like that, I’m sure they’ll take a good look at it.”
Wilson’s shoulder collided with Dumoulin’s head in the corner behind the Penguins’ net at 4:23 of the second period of the Penguins’ 4-1 loss in Game 2 Sunday afternoon.
