Penguins, Skaldes reach settlement in lawsuit

The Penguins have reached an out-of-court settlement in a lawsuit filed Erin Skalde, wife of former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton assistant coach Jarrod Skalde.

Terms of the agreement were not announced.

The Skaldes accused former Baby Penguins coach Clark Donatelli of sexually assaulting Erin Skalde in the rear seat of a vehicle after the group had gone out to dinner during a road trip in November, 2018, and Penguins officials of covering up the incident.

Donatelli resigned in 2019 for what the Penguins described as "personal reasons" and Skalde lost his job after the 2019-20 season as part of a series of cutbacks the Penguins said were related to the pandemic.
