Penguins Sign a Sleeper?

Not so in the wake of today’s signing of 26-year-old forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard to a one-year, two-way deal worth $775K at the NHL level. All 5’9” 181-pounds of him.

You see, POHO/GM Kyle Dubas has already taken care of our need for functional size by signing twin Clydesdales, Anthony Mantha and Justin Brazeau. The more girth you have, the easier it is to sprinkle in an undersized player or two.

As they say, variety is the spice of life. Makes for a good hockey team, too.

And if hit totals are any indication (117 in 84 career NHL games) the kid has some scrap and compete in his game.
