The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Beau Bennett to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The deal carries an average annual value of $800,000.
Bennett, 23, finished the 2014-15 season with four goals, eight assists and 12 points in 49 games. He established a single-game career high with three points (1G-2A) against the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 18 at the Bell Centre.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Bennett has appeared in 96 career regular-season games with the Penguins, scoring 10 goals and adding 23 assists for 33 points.
