Penguins notebook: Kris Letang angry over Callahan's hit

Kris Letang apparently was quite candid Sunday with French-speaking reporters, in his first availability after being boarded Friday night by Tampa Bay right winger Ryan Callahan in Game 1.

Callahan was not suspended by the NHL, and Letang reportedly was furious about the hit and lack of discipline. He told the Montreal Journal that he felt lucky not to get his neck broken on the sequence. He also said the hit chipped one tooth and loosened a second.

“I was clearly ahead of him on that play,” Letang told the Montreal Journal.
