Penguins make first round of camp cuts

CRANBERRY, Pa. -- The Penguins made their first round of cuts from training camp on Friday.

Among the first to be cut were some expected names, like the players on AHL contracts: Matt Abt, Chase Berger, Jon Lizotte, Michael Kim, Ben Sexton and Dustin Tokarski. They'll return to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for its training camp.

Also in the first round of cuts was Calen Addison, who was also expected to be an early cut, because he's not yet eligible to play in the AHL this season. He'll return to his junior team, the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL.
