Penguins draft goalie Gabriel D’Aigle in third round with 84th pick

Kyle Dubas had a first in his NHL drafting history — he selected a goalie within the first three rounds of the draft for the first time at the 2025 Draft when the Penguins took Gabriel D’aigle with the 84th overall pick.

D’aigle, from the same town of Sorel-Tracy, Quebec as Marc-Andre Fleury (he even signed up with Fleury’s agent) was tabbed as the next big Canadian goalie prospect years ago due to his size. He’s had a bit of a choppy junior career on a bad QMJHL team and has seen his stock level out.
