Entering his 43rd season calling Penguins games, Mike Lange has decided to cut back on his travel.

Lange, 69, will still handle play-by-play duties on WXDX-FM (105.9 The X) for all 41 home games but will do approximately 15 of 41 road contests.

Josh Getzoff was announced as Lange’s replacement.

Getzoff, who turns 29 in October, joined the Penguins staff in October 2015 as a radio host and PensTV reporter. When Getzoff is doing play-by-play in place of Lange, Paul Steigerwald will shift to pre- and post-game duties.

Same as he has for the past 15 seasons, Phil Bourque will provide color for both Lange and Getzoff, whose first game will be Oct.
