Penguins bring back Sheary, add Rodrigues from Buffalo

LOS ANGELES -- Conor Sheary will get another chance to win the Stanley Cup with the Penguins.

They acquired him, along with fellow forward Evan Rodrigues, from Buffalo for forward Dominik Kahun shortly before the NHL trade deadline Monday.

Trading Kahun, who seemed to have a long-term future in the Penguins' top-six, was a surprise.

Sheary, 27 and a member of the Penguins' Cup-winning teams in 2016 and 2017, had nine goals and 10 assists in 55 games with the Sabres this season. He had his most productive season as a pro with the Penguins in 2016-17, when he had 23 goals and 30 assists in 61 game.
