The Pittsburgh Penguins have grabbed their man. And it turns out it’s 40-year old veteran forward Patrick Marleau. The Pens and Sharks have reportedly agreed to terms and the deal is being finalized right now.
The price will be a third round pick, which becomes next year’s second round pick if the Pens are able to win the Cup this season:
Rutherford’s primary interest is to make his bottom-six better before today’s deadline is complete. Ideally, he would prefer to add to the bottom six with a skilled player who can produce offense.
