Fact is, the only constant during camp — and NHL teams across North America will open them today — from year to year likely has been optimism.
Each autumn, every club believes that good, or at least better, times are coming. Maybe that means getting to .500. Or reaching the playoffs. Or winning the Stanley Cup. The details might be different, but the upbeat vibe is universal.
