After signing forward Eric Fehr, the Pittsburgh Penguins continued to reshape their roster Tuesday as they traded forward Brandon Sutter and a conditional 2016 third-round pick to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Nick Bonino, defenseman Adam Clendening and a 2016 second-round pick.
The deal was officially announced on NHL.com, and it is a move that helps the Pens from a financial standpoint, according to Justin Bourne of The Score:
Clendening & Bonino will cost less than Sutter too. For cap team freeing up room for guy (like Fehr) .
