Medication to help Pens' Dupuis prepare for next season

Penguins veteran wing Pascal Dupius is expected to begin his comeback this summer.

Team doctors have identified medication that will allow Dupuis to begin working out and prepare for the 2015-16 season, general manager Jim Rutherford said this afternoon.

Dupuis, who was diagnosed with a serious blood clot condition last fall, has remained steadfast that he will do everything in his power to return to the ice with the Penguins next season. It was unclear for some time if medication needs would threaten his ability to return to the NHL.

“They have found the proper medication for him to continue to work out in full and prepare for next season to play,” said Rutherford.
