Darius Kasparaitis gave a pretty big piece of Penguins history to Alex Ovechkin on Tuesday.
Kasparaitis gave Ovechkin his stick and puck from his 2001 Game 7 overtime goal for the Penguins against the Sabres.
"It’s a honor and I hope he will catch the great one," Kasparaitis said about the gesture on Instagram.
"All hockey fans remember the goal that Kaspairaitis scored in Game 7 against the Sabres," Ovechkin wrote. "This stick is now in my collection, and afterwards it will be in my museum!
