Dukes come up short against Rhode Island in season-ending loss

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Duquesne's historically bad season has come to a close with a 79-77 loss to Rhode Island in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament. The loss marked the 17th loss in a row for the Dukes who fell to 6-24 on the season and finished with a 1-16 record in the Atlantic 10.

It wasn't all bad for Duquesne as freshman guard Primo Spears notched his second straight 30-point game to become the first freshman in school history to do so. Spears finished with 30 against the Rams while Kevin Easley, Jr.
