Crosby misses last local scrimmage, aiming to practice Monday in Toronto

CRANBERRY, Pa. -- Sidney Crosby did not participate in the Penguins' final scrimmage of training camp at the UPMC Lemieux Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Crosby was already skating on the second sheet of ice with Casey DeSmith and skills coach Ty Hennes by the time the doors opened for media at 11:15 a.m., and he stayed on the ice until about 12:20 p.m.

Crosby spoke with reporters over a video call after practice, and said that he's hoping to be able to skate with the team on Monday and then play in the exhibition game against the Flyers on Tuesday.
