Coyotes ticket sales skyrocket following Kessel trade

The Coyotes are starting to prioritize winning, and fans are responding.

Coyotes season-ticket sales are up 600 percent compared to this point last summer, and overall ticket sales are up 550 percent, according to a report by the Arizona Republic.

The Coyotes have also seen a 94 percent renewal rate in season tickets this summer, their highest renewal rate since 2003-04.

The growth is huge for the Coyotes, who haven't finished higher than 28th in league attendance since the 2006-07 season.

“We were talking about this the other day: This very well might be the biggest blockbuster trade in our team’s history,” Coyotes president and CEO Ahron Cohen said on a recent appearance on 98.
