Chris Kunitz is chasing history and a fifth Stanley Cup. No big deal.

The former Penguin has found a new home, and a similar niche, with Tampa Bay

WASHINGTON – Chris Kunitz threw his navy-blue blazer over a black polo and hooked a left out of the tiny visitors’ dressing room inside Washington’s Capital One Arena, the same path he’s traveled roughly three dozen times throughout his career.

“I’ve obviously been here a lot,” Kunitz said on Tuesday morning, smiling.

While 966 regular-season games plus 173 in the playoffs have taken Kunitz plenty of places, there’s some rarefied air he’s still trying to reach: A five-time Stanley Cup winner and status as the most envied player of his generation.
